Question 1

How do I schedule a class?

Accepted Answer

Shine uses Momence to schedule classes and manage passes and memberships. Book on the website under the Classes tab or download the Momence app for iOS or Android and book under the Schedule tab.

Question 2

What should I bring to class?

Accepted Answer

Water — there's a water dispenser to refill, or you can buy a bottle for $1. Grip aids are encouraged; the studio sells Dry Hands, Mighty Grip, Enviogrip, Girlie Grip, Dew Point, Tite Grip, and Rosin Spray.

Question 3

What should I expect when taking a class?

Accepted Answer

Class is typically 1 hour with a 15-20 minute warm up and stretch, 35 minutes of instruction, and a 5 minute cool down. It's fun, challenging, and inclusive for every BODY.

Question 4

What class should I take first?

Accepted Answer

For any apparatus, start with an INTRO or Level 1 class — look for the word INTRO or Level 1 in the class title.

Question 5

Do I need a dance background or upper body strength?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Instructors teach you everything you need to know and provide modifications along the way to help build strength, flexibility, and body awareness.

Question 6

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

You may cancel 12 hours before class start time with no penalty and your pass will be returned. Late cancellations or no-shows result in the loss of a pass plus a $15 fee for pass holders, or a $15 fee for unlimited members.

Question 7

Can I show up late to class?

Accepted Answer

Students who arrive 10+ minutes after class start time will not be admitted, and the late cancel/no-show policy applies. First timers should arrive 10 minutes early for a tour and introduction.

Question 8

How does the waitlist work?

Accepted Answer

Students are added from the waitlist up to two hours prior to class start time and are notified by text and/or email. If you're on the waitlist, expect to come to class — the late cancel/no-show policy still applies.
